Biography
David Pascal started fencing when he was very young and soon after he began to study historical fencing and became interested in the French épée. He has been studying other martial arts of Japanese origin for some time, such as kenjutsu (Katori Shinto ryu, aikido and iaido among others) and is currently studying two traditions of historical fencing while continuing his training as a fencer in sport fencing. The first is a general study of the French school of the late 17th and early 18th century with authors such as La Touche, Liancour and Girard. The second line of study corresponds to the Spanish mixed doctrine with the author Rodriguez del Canto, an original 18th century Spanish school that blends the French, Spanish and Italian schools into a single system.
