• Biography

  My name is Julian Schrattenecker and I have been an active historical fencer for more than 10 years. The main focus of my fencing studies is the style of the early 17th century of Salvatore Fabris and the German fencing masters who followed in his footsteps.

  To improve the interpretation, I also transcribe different manuscripts about fencing of the 16th and 17th century, such as HS381 from the Palais Liechtenstein, and publicise transcriptions for the historical fencing community.
